ZZZ 3.3 "Journey to the Sky": Everything New in the Update
Phoenix and Severian, Season 3 Chapter 4, two new Roscaelifer areas, the Bangboo Mech, new events and 600 Polychrome in compensation. Here's what Zenless Zone Zero 3.3 adds, explained.

Version 3.3, “Journey to the Sky”, launched on October 21, 2026 and runs until December 2, 2026. It adds two S-Rank Agents, the next Season 3 story chapter, two new areas in Roscaelifer, and a brand-new way to fight: piloting a Bangboo Mech.

Story and new areas
- Main Story Season 3 Chapter 4, “Journey to the Sky”, unlocks after Chapter 3, “Their Secret Histories”.
- Two new restricted areas in Roscaelifer: Quietude Isle and the Airspace Control Tower. Both unlock during the new chapter.
- New Trust and Quality Time events for Phoenix and Severian.
Bangboo Mech: a new way to fight
You can now pilot a Bangboo Mech during the main story and while exploring Quietude Isle. It switches freely between a melee mode and a ranged mode, each with its own skills. Aim assist helps on controller and mobile.

Quality-of-life changes worth knowing
- Agent Guides: a new in-game feature with team recommendations (with the reasoning shown) and tutorials for some Agents.
- Challenge prompts before tough modes now warn you when your team is under-leveled or a poor fit, with a shortcut to team-building tips.
- Discord account linking: link your HoYoverse account to show your game activity on Discord.
- Shiyu Defense’s Critical Node buffs rotated. Phase I now favors Fire Anomaly Agents, which is great news for Phoenix owners.
